I made new project cards for the back of my office door. It's a practice that helps quantify direction and purpose—well, it should. Mostly, it's a means of putting a name to things so that they don't get lost in the haze of everything else that needs doing. There are a lot of projects on the back of my door. It may be a while for many of them.
These new projects are in blue, because they're game-based. That's where my brain is happiest these days, and I’m not about to get in the way of my brain being happy. In fact, I've already finished one of them: PROJECT SIMPLE SIX.
It's based on an article from Exeunt Omnes discussing the use of random tables. As I start thinking about Mörktober (PROJECT .31., in fact), I'm going over notes and practices about how to make fun shit for your RPG campaign. All of what I'm hoping to make in October will likely be repurposed for Sap & Sigil (Oh, shit! I need a project card for that!), as I continue to put together some coherent thoughts about that world.
Anyway, SIMPLE SIX is a postcard that is basically a QR Code reminder to order your Night Office books, but the front of the card is a random table that prompts you for a Night Office adventure. Item 1 on the list is, obviously, In the Mansion of Madness. The rest? Well, who knows . . .
I’ve been checking off to-dos on the DOOM + MADNESS Kickstarter, and while I was making print copies of Jam Badger, I also knocked out the stack of Night Office chapbooks that are part of the physical rewards for some of the backer tiers.
Ooh. Nice stack of product. Which reminds me that I need to upload both of those chapbooks to the itch.io storefront. Oh, and there is some logo design work to be done. Oh, and apparently I need to write another Space Heist story by the end of the month . . .
